MediaTek's most powerful mid-range chip yet! |
The P60 is built under the 12 nm FinFET by TSMC. It features four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and four A53 cores at 2.0GHz. According to MediaTek, its boasts a massive 70 percent boost in performance versus the P30!
In addition, the P60 boasts the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. It's still lower than the Mali-G72 MP12 GPU of the Mate 10 and the MP18 GPU of the S9, but that's still a significant improvement versus the old GPUs found on the older Helio chips.
It also has dual camera support with real-time enhancement and overlays and A.I. accelerator.
MediaTek also boasts that its the most power efficient P-series chip yet. Versus the P23, the P60 uses 12 percent less power on average.
It can also support up to 1080p screens with 20:9 aspect ratio, up to 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, UFS 2.1 storage, LTE Cat 7 download and LTE Cat 13 upload speeds with VoLTE, and dual SIM card support.
The Helio P60 is expected to bring better power and smarts to mid-range smartphones in early Q2 2018.
