Huawei Nova 2 lite now official, will launch in the Philippines soon!
The mystery smartphone that Huawei teased in Bohol last week is the Nova 2 lite, Nova 2i's lower-end sibling with big 18:9 screen.

According to Huawei, Nova 2 lite is positioned to target young individuals who are in need of a modern smartphone with beautiful design, capable specs, and good cameras even on a budget.
In particular, it features a polycarbonate body with either glossy or matte-like finish. On top, the phone has a 5.99-inch HD+ 2.5D glass with 18:9 screen aspect ratio and narrow looking side, top, and bottom bezels.
Inside, it is powered by Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. It is paired with Adreno 505 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and enough 3,000mAh battery.
On the camera part, it has a 13MP + 2MP dual cameras behind. The secondary sensor is the depth sensor for bokeh effect. It also has PDAF focus and single LED flash.
For selfies, it has a single 8MP f/2.0 snapper w/ softlight LED flash. Huawei claimed that it has the LED flash it has is a "Smart Selfie Toning Flash" which allows the phone to automatically and intelligently adjust the lighting for natural looking selfies.
This phone also has LTE connectivity, speedy fingerprint reader at the back, and face unlock technology. Huawei claims that it can unlock your face in 0.4 seconds.
The Nova 2 lite loads with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system w/ EMUI 8.0 skin on top.
