Doogee, one of the up and coming foreign smartphone brand here in the Philippines, claims that they have a product that has all those good traits, the BL5000.

On paper, the Doogee BL5000 is a gorgeously designed midrange Android handset equipped w/ LARGE 5,050 mAh battery capacity!

The handset is well crafted and shiny on first look. It even reminds us of the way HTC crafted the gorgeous U11. It's made w/a combination of metal frame and reflective glass. In front, its 5.5 inch 1080p 2.5D curved display is protected w/ the new and tough Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Surprisingly, despite the HUGE 5,050 MAh battery, the phone isn't that big, thick, and heavy. It only measures at 155.2 x 75.85 x 10.3 mm and weighs at 210 g. On top of that, it has great grip and overall ergonomics.

The screen is has is quite good for the price. It boasts a 5.5 inch FHD IPS 1920 x 1080 resolution that has good colors and nice white balance. It isn't the brightest around, but its good enough.

Inside, this handset rocks the 1.5 GHz 64 bit MT6750T octa core processor w/ dual ISP support for dual cameras and Mali T860 graphics that can handle most of the games decently. Doogee coupled it w/ 4 GB RAM for easy multitasking and ample 64 GB of expandable storage.

The star of the show? The battery! The Doogee BL5000 highlights a 5,000 mAh battery w/ fast enough charging. Based on the battery size, our estimate is it can last for up to 2 days on a single charge.

The other highlight? The dual camera setup. It goes w/ a 13 MP + 13 MP f/2.2 w/ PDAF and LED flash rear cameras for enhanced photography. It has 2x zoom, monochrome, and bokeh modes.
