Yes, you read that part right. It has four cameras in total. Not 1, not 2, not 3, but four cameras overall. It's also the first commercially available handset w/ 18:9 screen aspect ratio to highlight a camera setup of this kind.

It has a pair of very promising selfie shooters too! |
Then, even if it is just a midranger, the cameras has game changing specs and features for the low asking price of just PHP 14,990.
In particular, it has a 16 MP primary and 2 MP secondary depth cameras behind that has f/2.2 aperture, speedy autofocus, OIS, and flash. It's one of the very few smartphones to have OIS for stabilization at this price point.
It's also complete w/ the robust Huawei camera software like portait w/ beautify, variable aperture, pro camera w/ RAW support, night, and light painting modes.
For selfies, it goes w/ a 13 MP + 2 MP f/2.0 dual front camera setup that has face beauty, portrait mode for bokeh effect, and softlight LED flash for selfies at night. It's also the first Huawei phone to feature sticker effects like the Galaxy S8 series and Galaxy Note 8.
To show you guys its initial camera performance, we used the Nova 2i as our main photography phone yesterday. Have a look!

Lowlight selfie |
The Nova 2i is arguably the best midrange shooter we encountered so far. Both the dual rear and dual selfie cameras are capable of shooting photos w/ good detail, dynamic range, and accurate colors. Also, we never expected its front facing shooters to be this good.
Bokeh using the portrait and variable aperture mode also has cleaner edges and more natural depth than most of its similarly priced competition.
Lowlight shots could still be better, but it has a pro mode for the dual rear cameras and softlight LED flash for selfies to help you take nicer images in the dark.
We are also pleased that Huawei has added most of their popular and useful camera features on a midrange handset.
Yes, it is far from perfect, and there's room for improvement, but the initial results we got are stunning for a midrange phone so far.
That's it for now, watch out for our full review!
