Qualcomm has made the Snapdragon 450 chipset official. It's a new entry-midrange SoC for smartphones and tablets that's built under the 14nm FinFET process.

It is designed to deliver major improvements in CPU performance, GPU performance, battery efficiency, camera imaging, and LTE connectivity compared with its predecessor, the Snapdragon 430 / 435.
The new chipset has the ability to deliver 25% increase in computing CPU and GPU computing power. In particular, it is using the Adreno 506 GPU that's also found with Snapdragon 625 chips.
Moreover, it has 30 percent better power management when gaming. It also has Quick Charge 3.0 support.
For the cameras, the Snapdragon 450 is said to be the first chip in its class to support real-time bokeh effects. It will also add support for dual 13 MP camera setups or up to 21 MP single cam setup. It also has Snapdragon X9 LTE, FHD resolution support, and Hexagon DSP.
