Among our devices, the new OPPO F3 Plus and the Huawei Mate 9 has identical 4,000 mAh of battery. Both are also loaded with their own proprietary quick charging tech. It made us very eager to find out who has the faster charging tech?

As a quick recap, the VOOC Flash Charge tech is using low voltage and low temperature 5V / 4A charging. On the other hand, the Huawei SuperCharge has a 4.5V low voltage input plus a 5A charging current. Both has 5-layer control for voltage, current, and temperature for better safety.
The results
OPPO F3 Plus - 0 to 50% in 30 mins / 0 to 100% in 1 hour and 15 mins
Huawei Mate 9 - 0 to 50% in mins in 35 mins / 0 to 100% in 50 mins
Both phablets can recharge very fast for devices with 4,000 mAh big of battery capacity. In our test, OPPO's VOOC was 5 mins faster from 0 to 50% compared with Huawei's SuperCharge. From 0 to 100%, the SuperCharge tech edged VOOC.
Quick notes
1. Both chargers are proprietary
2. OPPO is using a special type of micro USB port
3. Huawei is using USB Type C reversible port
4. OPPO's VOOC is noticeably cooler than Huawei's SuperCharge.
