MWC 2017: Huawei P10 And P10 Plus Announced, Will Launch In PH This March!

Huawei just revealed the P10 and P10 Plus at MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain. They're the company's follow-up to the highly successful P9 / P9 Plus last year. Both machines are packed with refinements in build, design, screen, performance, audio, and cameras.

The Huawei P10 is the smaller handset w/ full metal unibody "Hypercut Diamond-Cut" finishing w/ anti scratch and non-slip feature. It's paired with a 5.1 inch FHD IPS-NEO 1920 x 1080 resolution w/ 2.5D curved glass and Gorilla Glass 5 protection at 434 ppi.

Under the hood, it'll be powered by the same great chip found with Huawei Mate 9, the Kirin 960 octa core processor w/ Mali G71 gaming grade graphics unit. It's paired with 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB expandable storage, and ample 3,200 mAh battery w/ Huawei's Super Charge technology via USB Type C port.

The cameras were revamped as well, the P10 will have the same Leica branded 20 MP f/2.2 monochrome sensor + 12 MP f/2.2 RGB sensor w/ 4-in-1 Hybrid AF, OIS, 2x zoom, and dual tone LED flash. In addition to the "wide aperture" mode where you can manually adjust aperture size via software to create shallow depth of field, Huawei and Leica also added a Self Portrait mode ala iPhone 7 Plus for natural bokehs. The rest were very much like the Mate 9 minus the IR blaster.

Curved design!

On the other hand, the Huawei P10 Plus is the star of the show and the more special handset. It has a bigger 5.5 inch WQHD curved screen, brighter f/1.8 dual Leica cameras, and 4LTE Mimo and 2x2 Mimo support for 4.5G support.

In front, the 8 MP f/1.9 wide angle selfie w/ AF camera will be Leica branded as well. There are also reports claiming that i'll have bokeh effect even on a single cam.

The Huawei P10 will retail at 650 Euros (around PHP 34.4K). The P10 Plus is priced at 700 Euros for the 64 GB variant and 800 Euros for the 128 GB ROM model. Both the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus will launch this March here in the Philippines!
