After teasing the phone last week, Gionee has launched the S6s in India earlier. It's a midrange handset that's designed to "directly compete" with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Lenovo Vibe K5 Note.

The Gionee S6s features a 5.5 inch FHD screen paired with the older MT6753 octa core chip and Mali T720 GPU. It'll also get 3 GB RAM, 32 GB expandable internal storage, and 3,150 mAh of battery.
The handset is also packed with a 13 MP main camera, 8 MP selfie cam w/ screen flash, LTE w/ VoLTE, fingerprint scanner, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It'll have a mocha gold and latte gold variants.
