SKK Chronos Byte And Chronos Cross Announced, Metal Clad Sub 4K Devices!

SKK Mobile has been quiet for the past few months as they're prepping their next generation series that might replace the ageing Lynx line-up. As a matter of fact, they've been posting several teasers recently of their latest line of Chronos devices that's targeted for the masses. There are two models, the budget 5.5 inch SKK Chronos Byte and 6.0 inch SKK Chronos Cross. Fortunately, we have them with us right now to give you our first look and what's the specs inside those devices.

First is the Chronos Byte, a budget metal framed 5.5 inch handset with HD resolution. It runs on a quad core MT6580 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz paired with Mali 400 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB ROM expandable ROM and 2,300 mAh removable battery.

The Chronos Byte has a 5 MP shooter with single LED flash at the back and a 2 MP selfie camera.

Update: The metal ring in the center back part isn't a fingerprint sensor, but a part of the design.

On the other hand the SKK Chronos Cross is huge 6 inch phone with beautiful 2.5D curved arc screen, but only has qHD resolution. Under the hood, it runs on 1.3 GHz SC7731 quad core processor, has 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB ROM and 2,800 mAh of battery.

It has an 8 MP shooter at the back with LED flash and 5 MP camera in front with LED flash as well.

At first we thought that SKK will make the above mentioned devices run on Android Marshmallow OS and will boast LTE connectivity. However, both of them run with the older Android 5.1 Lollipop and only has 3G capability.

We got a confirmation that the exciting Marshmallow powered phone with LTE that they're talking about is their upcoming Chronos flagship phone.
