The Galaxy S7 is majestic
|
Meet Galaxy S7 |
Coming from the Galaxy S6, the new Galaxy S7 is even more impressive even with the slight design change. The back has curves for a better grip and the new super high aperture f/1.7 dual pixel camera with OIS similar to the Canon 70D DSLR is superb on first try. So far this is the handier Galaxy S7 for everyone who has small hands.
But the Galaxy S7 Edge is curvier
|
Meet Galaxy S7 Edge |
This is the pricier yet more impressive phone for me, the Galaxy S7 Edge is indeed a looker. I feel now that the edge is better to hold that makes it great for taking photos with the use of its Dual Pixel sensors at the back.
Samsung also stated that the battery efficiency is very much improved as well as the wireless fast charging tech. Something important for the heavy users and those who wanted everything fast.
Oh by the way, the new Galaxy S7 devices also incorporates Mali's T880 GPU that's a known beast in the mobile graphics card industry. Pair that with the 64 Bit Exynos 8890 octa core chip and 4 GB of RAM you'll get an Antutu score of a little over 130K which is the highest in the world today.
The resistances
|
The Galaxy S7 submerged in water |
|
It's also dust resistant as well, impressive! |
The resistances that Samsung included here is something that was first implemented with the S5 and was missed with the S6. It's really great to know that Samsung brought it back on a better form to ensure that your new Galaxy S7 series will stay safe and dry. That's aside from the best in class Gorilla Glass 4 that prevents scratches on your display.

See how clear the selfie we took was! Take note, were in a place that's challenging lighting for photographers |
So far we think that Samsung has a winner with the Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge and welcome back micro SD card slot that's expandable up to 200 GB.
The rest of what we saw in the event

Samsung also highlighted the Galaxy Gear VR, which is a glimpse of the virtual reality future today |
|
Samsung also introduced a Rose Gold variant of the popular Gear S2 Premium line! Something that the fashionistas and everyone who wants a good looking smartwatch would love to have. |
The Galaxy S7 with 32 GB will be priced at 34,990 and the Galaxy S7 Edge with 32 GB at 39,990 Pesos. Both devices will be available in black / gold colors and launched here in the Philippines this March 19, 2016 and will be on pre order starting March 4 with a m
There will also be a pre order starting March 4 which entitles you for a FREE Samsung Galaxy Gear VR. The PR of Samsung Philippines also stated yesterday that there will be a deposit fee that is yet to be determined.
Stay tuned!
