As an audio enthusiast, I often find Bluetooth and NFC speakers in the under 5000 Pesos budget lacking in sound quality most of the time. That made me usually recommend to everyone to just get a decent wired speaker instead of a wireless one. Until I met the Kingone K99 Bluetooth NFC portable speaker. Let's find out why in this review.

The Kingone K99 comes in a big red box that contains the standard user manuals, 3.5 to 3.5 mm cable, micro USB charger and the Kingone K99 unit itself. I liked the way they included a 3.5 to 3.5 mm audio jack in case you want a more stable connection than Bluetooth.

Features
Feature-wise, the Kingone K99 is jampacked! You can use it easily via Bluetooth with a voice prompt whenever you connect or disconnect and comes with an SD card at the back where-in you can place your stored MP3's. It also has a line out function for you to connect the speaker with your favorite music player via 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm jacks interconnect and it also has a call function that can make the k99 act like a microphone with loud speaker. The Kingone K99 also has an NFC function in case you don't like to use Bluetooth connectivity. Then it has the rest of the basic buttons like play, pause, next back, volume and mute on top of the speaker.
Battery Life
The Kingone K99 packs a 2100 mAh battery capacity with an estimate battery life of 5 to 6 hours of usage. With my actual straight usage it was able to give me almost 5 hours of battery life on my satisfactory listening volume. That battery life is acceptable even if it falls short by an hour compared to competitors that's priced 2 to 3 times higher than the K99.
Sound Quality
The Kingone K99 is by far the loudest speaker of this size I've tried! It easily puts the Braven Mira to shame and has almost equal loudness to the much bigger Soundfreaq Double Spot. It was truly a very loud speaker that can be used even outdoors.

When it comes to the quality of the audio, I didn't have high hopes on this due its low price tag of around 1,800 Pesos. However, the Kingone K99 surprised me! Man this is such a beastly speaker for the price. The sound is very crisp, sharp and detailed! It's a V-Shaped sounding speaker with great treble sparkle and good extension. The bass region is also tight, fast and accurate. Then the surprise there is the it can produce decent sub-bass with great crawling feel! It's not the best out there, but there are very few speakers even in the much higher price bracket that has that.The soundstage was also quite wider than expected and the musical separation was also good.
Tip 2: Do not turn the volume to max level as it distorts a little (unless when needed)

Verdict
For the price of around 1,800 Pesos or a little bit more, the Kingone K99 is a must buy as it can easily compete with the popular speaker brands out there that cost 2-3 times its regular price! Plus this speaker packs a lot of functionality that suits your lifestyle. It is that good!
